The last time I wrote a blog or newsletter was early in September. A month ago. Where have I been and what have I been doing?
I haven’t stopped writing; in fact, I’ve been writing more than ever. There are the two Halloween stories, and a Christmas story. The Christmas story is part of a shared world. I’m excited to be collaborating with some other authors for this one.
As always, I am keen for ARC readers and Street team members. If you’re interested, please let me know.
Maybe I should start by explaining what an ARC reader is, and what a Street Team member does. The terms can be a little confusing, even to me.
ARC readers (ARC stands for Advance Reader Copy) are readers who receive a book before the author publishes it. They get to read it, and, if they genuinely enjoy it, they can leave an honest review around release time.
As an author I would love my ARC readers to also let me know if they find any typos, continuity issues, confusing sections or character inconsistencies. Any help is always appreciated to get my stories ready before they go out into the world.
A Street Team is different. This team is more for spreading the word about impending new releases, cover reveals, pre-orders, and sharing social media posts. They may recommend my books to friends and create excitement about my new release. It sounds odd, but they don’t have to have read the book first.
My ARC readers are anyone who wants to be an early reader, who love getting their hands on a book before everyone else. My street team would include readers who simply love my books and want to help me spread the word.
Neither is supposed to be time consuming or feel like hard work.
If you are my ARC reader I would ask you to –
“Read the book, let me know if you spot anything that needs fixing, and if you enjoy it, consider leaving an honest review when the book releases.”
As a Street Team member, I would ask you to –
“Share my posts and generate excitement about new releases.”
As well as writing, and sharing on social media, I’d like to create a community of people who love reading my books and other books like mine. It’s a big ask, and I’m not sure how I’ll reach my goal, but I won’t know unless I try.
If you enjoy witchy vibes cozy mysteries, maybe you’d like to join my ARC team or my Street Team.
The easiest way to let me know you are interested would be to fill in this form.
If you do, I’ll be in touch with more information soon.
That’s it for now, Happy Sunday and Happy Reading!
