I’ve come up with a crazy idea, bear with me, hear me out and tell me what you think.

I have three stories, based on Halloween, but none of them are finished yet. One doesn’t have many words, one is 5000ish and one is 10 000ish. I probably won’t have them completed by this Halloween, but I am curious, which story do you like the best?

Would you like to read the 5000 and 10 000 drafts and tell me if you like them? Would you like to see them both finished? Do you want to provide general or specific feedback?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, here is a link to fill out. https://forms.gle/6t1zuy7UtK7ip3iE9

If you fill out the form, in a couple of days, I will send you links to the two stories. And if you can let me know what you think by the end of September, it would be greatly appreciated.

Here are the blurbs for the stories:

The Graveyard Shift

Three best friends. One dead witch. And a Halloween deadline.

Cat, Bea and Sher have been best friends since school. Now in their early fifties, they’re finally ready to turn their friendship into a business venture and start the next chapter of their lives together.

But everything changes when Sher dies in a freak accident.

When Cat is accused of a crime she didn’t commit, she knows something isn’t right. And the more questions she asks, the more suspicious Sher’s death begins to look.

With the handsome policeman Eddie asking questions of his own, Cat has no choice but to start digging for answers.

Unfortunately, there’s something else demanding her attention.

Cat has been called to join the Magic Council.

Because apparently solving a murder isn’t enough trouble for one witch.

With Halloween fast approaching, Cat needs to uncover the truth before the killer strikes again—and before her own secrets land her in even deeper trouble.

Three friends. One deadly mystery. And a whole lot of magic.

Enchanted Toys and Other Problems

The toys are enchanted. The goblins are dangerous. And Sophie’s ex-husband is dead.

After divorcing Tom, Sophie moved in with her Aunt Hilda, who introduced her to a world she never knew existed – magic.

Now Sophie has inherited the Enchanted Toybox, a toy shop filled with strange and wonderful enchanted toys.

She thought keeping the magic shop running would be the hardest part.

She was wrong.

When malicious goblins threaten the town, Sophie discovers that being a witch comes with responsibilities she never asked for. But just when she thinks things can’t get any stranger, her ex-husband is murdered.

Then her sister-in-law disappears.

Suddenly, Sophie has a very human mystery to solve—and the more she digs, the more she suspects the magic world may be involved.

With enchanted toys causing trouble, goblins lurking nearby, and a killer still at large, Sophie needs to uncover the truth before someone else disappears.

Because in the Enchanted Toybox, not every toy is playing around.

That’s it from me, have a great weekend and happy reading x
