There’s something special about the world of the Blackwood women. A world where magic leaks in from the other realm. Fairies, elves, dragons and a parade of magical beings cross over through portals to cause havoc and chaos. This series has it all. Mystery, magic, family secrets, enchanted artefacts, and a little romance in the form of high school sweethearts. The books aren’t long, they’re a quick read, when you’re looking for something light and magical to disappear into for a while.

I’m having so much fun creating Daisy’s Blackwood’s story. I’m loving the developing relationships between her and her family, and Casper, her old high school sweetheart. It’s interesting, delving into the connections, and working out which magical creatures belong in the story. I’m excited at the possibilities in this series.

At the beginning of this year, I didn’t realise Daisy Blackwood’s story was going to take up so much time, but I’m pleased it is. I’ve other stories half finished, but they can wait. My plan to publish a book a month, was a little crazy, but it’s still my plan. I’m learning discipline, and working out when is the most productive time to write and edit, and when to distract myself with craft, puzzles, posting on social media etc.

Does Daisy’s world exist somewhere? Is there a place where elves and fairies roam amongst us? Where dragons and other mythical creatures are our friends.

I like to think so.

I know that when I use intention and concentrate and focus, magic happens. Add a sprinkle of gratitude, aromatherapy, and other witchy items. Maybe we won’t see elves, fairies or dragons, but our day will be magical.

The Blackwood Women series might just be your new favourite cozy mystery witchy read. Watch Out for the Blackwood Women is book 1. Book 2 is Daisy’s Magical Nursery. Soon to be released book 3 is Minerva’s Cauldron. Book 4 I am writing now and it’s tentatively titled Three Broomsticks.

No spoilers, but I’m sure you’ll love Daisy’s story as much as I do.
