I’m not the best sleeper. I’m restless and I wake up a lot during the night. My dreams are often full of people whom I’ve known throughout my life. Those I’m close to, and regret. there’s always lots of regret. There’s often running away from scary creatures and crawling through tunnels. These dreams get worse around the time of the full moon.

Does anyone else find dreams, emotions and energy are stronger around the time of the full moon? The moon goddess is trying to gently coax us, guide us, and teach us. The lessons can be brutal and exhausting. I think I must often miss the point, as the nightmares keep coming.

I do love the moon goddess. With her aide I have manifested some amazing things in my life. She hasn’t granted me all my wishes, yet.

Sometimes I may use something from my dreams – nightmares – in my writing. Snippets, emotions, relationships, connections or just the weirdly magical.

I don’t always remember my dreams, thank goodness, as I suspect they’d drive me crazy.

Do you like stories with broken, quirky, magical women? Those with all the feels, and something to prove, or a mystery to solve?

Watch Out for the Blackwood Women is now out into the world, and I hope you love the story as much as I do. My first book of 2026, a year when I challenged myself to publish a book a month. February’s book is nearly written. It needs lots of work, to get it ready, but it’s on its way.

I was tempted to start writing a brand-new story, rather than complete this one. It would be easier. I could easily write 20 000 new words without pausing. I didn’t though, I persisted with this one.

To the moon goddess, give me a break. Let me get some sleep without nightmares of regret. Give me some time to write and polish my story. Help me achieve the rest of my dreams. I’m grateful for your gifts, and magic, thank you.
