It’s the first of the month and the first of a brand-new season – winter. This is one of the truths we can depend on, as an absolute certainty. The seasons will always move through their never-ending cycle. Twenty-four hours in a day. Seven days in a week. Winter will always follow autumn. Then spring, and summer.
We have the chance every day, every week, every month, to set and complete goals. For health, wellbeing, fun, travel. It can be choosing to eat more healthy foods, drink more water, save a few dollars a week, or read a book. The ideas available to us are endless.
What do we want to see in our lives? What do we want to wish into our lives? Who do we want to be?
Eating less sugar and more fruit and vegetables. Drinking less coffee and more herbal teas. Read more books and write more. Learn more crafts, garden some more. I should probably also add something in there about setting an intention for being less cranky and letting go of frustrations.
Then it’s time to get into the details. This is where the magic happens. Not vague ideas and plans. Step by step lists of what to do. That’s where I’m up to. Making a list and checking it twice. The last couple of weeks of May I lost momentum. I procrastinated. Which is okay, as long as I’m back on track now. Today, or maybe tomorrow.
Happy June everyone! What are your plans for the month?
