Today I want to talk a little about my books, specifically about a couple of my main characters. Stella and Luna are the first two witchy women I wrote about. I love their quirkiness, the way they easily adapted to life in medieval Scotland, and found friendships in their covens. Their struggles lead them to an awareness of how powerful they are. They find comfort, and hope, in a life they could never have imagined. Currently, my Witch Wisdom series comprises of Crone Wisdom, Ancient Wisdom, and The Wisdom of the Witches.
In my Spirit Town witchy vibe cozy mystery series, Beth never thought she’d return to her hometown, a place where many residents are blessed with special powers. Although she possesses special powers of her own, Beth is initially not confident in her magic abilities. As we see through books 1 and 2, she’s more than a little wary of how dangerous her magic is, with a healthy dose of scepticism regards magic in general. As a journalist, and even as mayor, Beth finds herself with no choice but to step out of her comfort zone and help save her home from some underhanded activities. With help from her oldest friend, she must trust herself and her powers. Will she be able to save their town from a bully and corporation hell bent on making her pay for the actions of her family? Read the full series – Autumn Leaves Are Falling, Secrets Ghosts and Whispers, and The Ghosts of Spirit Town.
In A Very Crafty Christmas, the village of Misty Vale is another place where magic can be found in the every day. Jane is new to town and immediately feels at home. This is unusual, as Jane has spent most of her forty years, travelling around the world, trying to discover where she fits. Also unusual are the Christmas characters coming to life and creating havoc. Some of the towns folk start behaving oddly. Then there’s the mysterious note, the old key and the box of papers…Will Jane figure out what’s going on before it’s too late. This book releases at the end of April but you can preorder it now. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0F2SFY14G
I managed to finish a middle grade mystery of sorts – Hidden Clues at Peppermint Farm. It’s not out for release yet, I’m sitting on it for a while.
This week I’m getting stuck into my new work in progress. I’d written Chapter One for a competition, which I won, and so I’m finishing the story. In Broken Lies, I’m exploring a slightly different main character. She’s a somewhat broken strong woman, that parts the same as my other main characters. The theme for the competition was missed connections. Without giving too much away, this book will explore themes of loss, connections, what ifs…it’s very much a work in progress.
If any of my characters resonate with you, you can find their stories here (my Amazon author page should take you to Amazon where my books are…)https://www.amazon.com/author/sarahlewin
