Where has the time gone? We are nearly at the end of our UK trip 2024. During this trip we have made friends in Scotland, and reunited with Aussie friends traveling the world, in a little village just outside of York. We have visited Shakespeare’s birthplace, and Peter Pan’s too. We have travelled north to (nearly the) northern most point in Scotland and travelled along a road beside the North Sea. There’s been ales shared in pubs in Dumfries, trekking to castle ruins, sitting beside peaceful lochs, and pub meals in random little treasures that are the pubs in this beautiful part of the world.
Birthday celebrations, sightseeing, inspiration, and many more adventures. I have had the opportunity to leave a copy of my books in a hotel in the middle of the UK. A shared meal beside a loch in the Scottish highlands with friends who have inspired some of the things we do back at home. Chance encounters, stumbling across shops full of magic and mystery. Treading carefully where so many fell at Culloden many years ago. Ghosts and murmurings from ancient buildings, sites dripping with history. Such a fortunate life. Thanks to my other half as well. We are a team, and this is definitely a team effort!
