Emotions are normally more fragile than usual around the Christmas break. Families and memories have a way of rising from the depths where we have buried them.
Feelings are stronger during a full moon. This Christmas holiday we have a full moon on Christmas night.
The summer solstice, the long hot summer days. Short nights. Humid, wet weather where wind clashes with rain pellets. Sheets of water alternating with searing rays from the yellow ball of fire in the sky.
The fullness of the moon contrasts the heat of the day. The fluidity of the water. Things hidden in the shadows. Mystery, things left unsaid, unknown answers still to be discovered.
Vivid dreams full of stories that make sense, vanishing as soon as we lift our heads from the pillow.
Time passes for us all. People come and go. Some stay and some slowly fade away.
Regrets are pointless. Forgiveness, actions, focus and forever moving forward are the only way to make a difference. We are never too old or too young to dream, to believe and to make a positive change.
This year as I lean into the changes I also remember and learn from times past. I embrace the good in people, and in myself. I accentuate the positives. I focus on my dreams and that all elusive clarity will slowly reveal itself. I am looking forward to a year of adventures.
