It is more than just a word. It is an action word and a doing word. Gratitude is a feeling. It is a way of thinking and behaving.
All it takes is a few minutes each day.
At the beginning of the day;
- Think of three things that you are grateful for. Feel the gratitude. Spend a few seconds thinking about those things you are grateful for. You can create positive emotions, by saying thank you. Quietly or aloud, as many times as possible.
- At the end of the day, think of all the things you are grateful for. Feel the emotions and saying thank you for the blessings of the day.
- During the day, sprinkle magic fairy dust everywhere you go.
- As you walk from room to room, from work to home, to the shops, say thank you with each step you take.
- A simple thank you to each of the people we come into contact with.
- Before we eat and drink, think about the food and drink and express gratitude.
For me, the biggest step is to remember these action steps. Use lists, post it notes, crystals, or burn incense. Use whatever tool works for you, to remember to practice gratitude.
I am grateful for the opportunity to write these words, and for you, my readers who read this who may be encouraged to live a life of gratitude.
