Aromatic dressing is the process of applying essential oils to your skin. It not only makes you smell amazing, but it can also enhance your emotions, moods and life in general. Aromatic dressing can be something you do when you wake up in the morning or anytime through the day, like when you get dressed. You will no longer need to use commercially produced perfumes that may be causing allergies. You can also aromatic dress at night to help calm you down for sleep and it is a fantastic habit to start with your children.
To add aromatic dressing to your day, simply choose a selection of essential oils with intent for their physical or emotional benefits, or use whatever oils you are drawn to. Listen to your intuition and what your body is telling you it needs, try the essential oils that come to mind. Dilute your chosen oils with around 10mls of carrier oil in a small bowl or mix into unscented lotion.
After a shower or bath, begin from the bottom of your legs in circular motions working your way up your body towards your heart. Add more of the diluted oil to your hands as you move over your body, torso, arms and neck. Positive affirmation as you apply the oils will set intentions for a positive day. Finish by applying over the ends of your hair, bottom of your feet and take a moment to cup your hands over your nose and mouth and inhale.
