June is the beginning of winter here in the Southern Hemisphere. As the days get shorter and colder, many of us feel lethargic, anxious and sad. We have no energy and we feel like curling up in a ball and hibernating until the weather is warmer again.
To counteract the feelings of sadness and to help beat the blues, I am committing to a month of positive behaviour, positive words and actions.
If we choose one small positive activity each day we can make winter less overwhelming.

Here are some examples of positive action steps to get you started:
- Declutter a drawer or a cupboard and donate unwanted items
- Read a book from an author you enjoy
- Phone or message a friend and see how they are going
- Get outside and go for a ten minute walk
- Cook your favourite foods from scratch
- Finish a craft activity you started ages ago
- Look in the mirror and smile at the person looking back
- Take a photo of your favourite thing
Stay safe, warm and positive
