Emotions

Emotions – we all feel a range of emotions every day. Sometimes several in an hour. Do we focus on the negative emotions, on the positive ones, on all of them, or do we ignore what we are thinking or feeling?

Something that works for me is to acknowledge the emotion, reflect on why I am feeling this way; is it because of something someone else has said or done, and has that triggered an emotion or feeling? Once we understand what we are feeling and why, it is easier to let it go and move on. Especially for the not so positive ones. It is the positive emotions we want to hold on to.

But then if we are empaths we are often tuned in to the feelings and emotions of those around us, making it harder to work out why we feel a particular way.

This isn’t a deep and meaning email about tools to use to work through and heal emotions. That is a whole other chapter. This is merely a reminder that whatever we are feeling is okay. Also that we can, most times, choose to release the negativity and focus on something more positive.

Tools to help – a walk outside, a bubble bath, crystals, candles, essential oils, herbal tea, fresh water, exercise, reading, watching television, berries, bananas, nuts, healthy snacks, talk on the phone, music and movement.
