In some cultures it is the first of February (northern hemisphere) and the first of August (southern hemisphere) that are recognised as the start of spring. Here this week it started off like summer, twenty nine degrees, dropping ten degrees after a few days. I’m not complaining, it is still awesome weather, and all our plants are loving it.
I love that we can go outside and pick a tomato, a strawberry, citrus or salad greens. I love that I can pick and use herbs fresh, or dry them. Some skills I am still learning, but I am also loving learning new skills. I am super happy that our studio will be open for business soon.
Our studio is a place where I will be sharing ideas, teaching and helping others through workshops and one on one consultations.
One of my passions is emotional wellbeing. Using tools like essential oils, herbs, crystals, plants, exercise, water and fresh food.
During lockdown, winter, uncertainty, and other challenges life throws at us, it is good to remember the following:
- Exercise of some kind, each day, including stretches
- Drink at least two litres of water daily
- Rest, relaxation and sleep as much as you need
- It is okay to take time out for you
- It is okay to say no
- Eat at least two serves of fruit and veg each day
- Be grateful
- Diffuse essential oils
My favourite oils to use for emotional health – Bergamot, Litsea, Spearmint, OnGuard and Cheer.
Lockdown, winter, times of uncertainty, anxiety, stress, the unknown, when we can’t reach out in person to give each other a hug. Let’s stay connected and share our stories. Let’s be community no matter how far away we live.
