(Meant to post this last week, hence it is out of order with the crystal post) This week’s Essential Education series is a little different. Rather than delving straight into Chakras and Crystals, I want to focus more on some ways to manage our mental and emotional day to day health and wellbeing. Chakras and Crystals will be a topic in the future.

Taking back my power.

Sounds like a strange topic – but many of us spend our lives conforming to others expectations. As I listen to people wishing they had done things differently, and knowing I also wish I had handled a few things differently, I have been thinking about how we can take back our power.

It is about letting go, forgiving ourselves and others, but also believing in ourselves. How many times have we been told “You can’t do that”? Well you know what, I don’t consider that is an acceptable answer. If we put our mind to it, we can do, be, and achieve our goals.

It is about sitting, breathing, releasing, but also about talking, sharing, bouncing ideas off others. So if you want to explore this further, let me know. I can help with motivation, manifestation, meditation, and making things happen.

Overwhelm

That feeling when there are so many things you have to do or want to do, that no matter how many hours you work you feel like you are going around in circles, not getting everything or anything done.

When this feeling starts to take over, stop what you are doing and spend time doing something you enjoy – a walk, read, exercise, have a drink or some food. Then sit down and write a list of all the things you need to or want to do. Break each thing into action steps, small achievable steps. List in order of priority.

Important step – celebrate the completion of each small step. Acknowledge how much you do get finished each day.

I have realised that I don’t fail if I don’t get it all right the first time.

As long as we keep at it, whatever it is, we will succeed eventually. Even when we fall, get distracted and lose focus, as long as we work to get back on track, work out what it is we want to do, or need to do. Let’s listen to our intuition and inner voice. It really does lead us in the right direction.

Unplug

Sometimes we need to unplug from technology, phones, computers, television, radios, even electricity like lights, fans and air con and just listen to the stillness. The peace and quiet, real silence of nature.

When we remove all the technology, what do we hear? What is nature trying to tell us? What is our intuition whispering? What are our spirit guides saying?

If you can, spend some technology free time over the next few days and see how you feel.
