We all know what we need to do to stay healthy. Eating fresh foods, drinking water and herbal teas, meditation and sleeping properly. We all know that sometimes it is easy to do this, other times not so much. Sometimes the voices in our head get on that treadmill and despite our best efforts we worry about our work, our home and family, our relationships and our health. We know we shouldn’t be doing this, we know that we need to change our thoughts and look at the positives. Focus on the positives to invite more positives into our life. When we worry and stress and think of bad things, we invite bad and negative in. We know that when we visualise what we want, we are attracting it into our lives. When we don’t remain focused on the future we want and can’t get the voices off the treadmill, we feel stuck and this compounds the problem. Reading can help, or watching television, movies, listening to music, anything to distract.
Listening to music can lift our moods, change our perspective. So can exercise, walking, gardening or any hobby that shifts our focus. Today I have discovered something else that helps shift the blocks and regain balance in our lives. Something that I long suspected could assist but had not tried. Essential oils. Yes, essential oils. Try diffusing some lavender oil for a calming relaxing home. Tea tree oil or wild orange oil on pulse points help our immune system and give energy. Peppermint oil can help with breathing and upset stomachs. The list of uses and ways to heal is almost endless.
Maintaining the balance in our lives is all about balance. By this I mean incorporating many healing modalities into our lives to balance and heal every part of us. Balance is making sure that our physical, mental, emotional and spiritual capabilities are cared for. It is about balancing our workload with our home life. It is about being aware of our relationships, our wants and needs as well as those of others. It is about listening to our bodies and not just our minds, to decide how to best stay in good health.
