Hello to anyone who comes across this page and reads the words written here. I have not yet come up with a name for my blog. It will be about Living Authentically, health, wellness and being happy. A holistic approach, which will cover aspects of life from natural remedies, growing plants, crystals, our angel guides, being grateful, finding our true selves and what makes us happy and other such things.

As I become more adept with this technology I hope to add pictures, change the font colour etc, and add more personal touches.

There are many different points of view as to what makes us happy and healthy – money, time, goods, big house, perfect family, busy job, belonging to a gym, the list can be endless. There is growing popularly in certain circles of an awareness of the alternate therapies that greatly contribute to our health, happiness and well being. There is a greater understanding of how herbs and other natural remedies can help our bodies heal and fight dis-ease and the general feeling of un-wellness many of us feel and live with. These remedies are becoming more readily available in some areas, and if our local doctors aren’t subscribing to this way of healing, we could probably find a naturopath who would be more than willing to help us explore the myriad of natural therapies available. I have found an increasing amount of literature both written books and on the internet about how our belief system, our attitudes and our thoughts and words, both said and unsaid can harm us or help heal us.

This topic is fascinating from many points of view, but mainly, as far as I can tell, because it works, its so simple (yet can be complicated to master). Can it really be that easy, that by changing that little voice inside our heads that is negative, that we can lead happier, healthier, more fulfilling lives? How can being grateful for our lives heal our bodies? How can making the most of life and enjoying life help us in so many ways? I can personally attest to the truth of this theory, that being grateful and thankful is life changing. Changing our attitude from one of loss, pain and negative to a positive, grateful attitude has a huge positive impact of every aspect of our lives. One way this is explained is from a spiritual or energetic aspect. By energetic I mean the energy that is all around us, in nature, in us, in the foods we eat, the trees, plants, animals etc. Everything in this world has an energy vibration. The very world itself, the universe, is full of energy and responds to energy and the energy of our thoughts.

This sounds easy and simple, but it takes practice to stop those annoying negative thoughts and instead create happy, harmonious and positive thoughts in our lives. After reading a lot about this I thought I would try it. Instead of wasting time thinking about all that i wanted to change in my life, I instead focused on all the good in my life. The extra step, the even trickier one to master, is to focus on what we want, as if we already have it. Feel how it would feel to have the life you want and thank the universe for bringing it to you. Some call this meditation, visual meditation or manifestation. Others call it day dreaming. What ever it is called it is a powerful way to manifest positive and healthful change in our lives. It takes practice, but it is fun, it costs nothing and it is a simple way to take charge and make changes.

Until next time, blessings and take care everyone.
